Below are list of things Mike and John use on a regular if not daily basis when we are cooking. There are links to them on Amazon, we might make a few pennies when you buy through our links. Having the right tools at your disposal will make your cooking experience much more enjoyable!

Thermometers

Meater Block - It's kind of expensive but it's wifi connected so you can track temps from anywhere which is a big deal in my book.

Meater Plus - Smaller Meater Option but not wifi fancy

ThermPro Instant Read Thermometer - This is a simple and affordable instant read thermometer. It ain't fancy but it gets the job done and won't cost you much.

ThemPro Lightning - This is a great fast reading (like 1 second fast) and accurate thermometer. It's my daily driver for thermometers.

Knives

These are not fancy knives but I can put them in the dishwasher and I don't have to worry about them too much given the price point. Knives are one of the things you can spend a ton of money on in cooking. Buy what you can afford and upgarde as you go!

Cutting Boards

No matter what she says bigger is always better in this case... Get a nice big wood board for your cooked meats that will double as a serving tray and get a big plastic one that is easy to clean for prep.

Other Things

BBQ Daddy - This might be my favorite tool I've bought in the last year. Cleaning your greats will never be this easy again!

Lodge Cast Iron Melting Pot - Great to warm up sauces and infuse more smoke flavor in to them!

ree

Pink Butcher Paper - My preference for wrapping stuff up in a crutch over foil.

ree

Bear Paws - I originally got these to help me shread meats but I find myself using them all the time to move big cuts of meat around on the grill. I also really like the bright orange color beacuse they are easy to find in the drawer!

ree

Insta360 X4 - If you're going to take video of your cooks this is a great option because you can frame your shot after the fact! The editing is pretty quick and easy in the app.

ree

Vortex - Our favorite addition to any charcoal grill. It really helps you direct the heat or divert it in some cases.

ree

Tumble Weeds - Mike's favorite way to get a fire going.
